THATTA: District Nazim Syed Shafqat Hussain on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of the shelter homes in Ketibundar, which is being constructed by the Aga Khan Foundation for the homeless. Shafqat lauded the role of the Aga Khan Foundation for extending its services to the people of backward and remote areas. He said about 250 poor and homeless families will be accommodated in these shelter houses.

CHITRAL, 27 July 07:To compensate the flood and avalanche hit people Karim Abad Area Development Organization (KADO) distributed relief goods among affected people at Shughoor. District Nazim Chitral Haji Maghfirat Shah was chief guest on the occasion while Tehsil Nazim Sartaj Ahmad Khan and district Naib Nazim Sultan Shah were also present at the moment. KADO with collaboration of Innovation for Poverty Reduction Program (IPRP) distributed these edible items and iron sheets for rehabilitation. They were financially supported by SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Switzerland and Swiss Inter cooperation Pakistan.
They distributed food items among 280 affected and 16 iron sheet per head among 60 people in a simple ceremony. M. Yaqub coordinator KADO highlighted objectives of and said that Kado established an English Medium school at Karimabad where some 250 students are reading. KABUL, July 24 (APP): Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, accompanied by a delegation including three ministers, attended the funeral of King Zahir Shah who was laid to rest at the ancestral graveyard here Tuesday. The Prime Minister was received at the Kabul Airport by Minister for Higher Education Muhammad Azam Dadfur and Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan Sardar Tariq Azizuddin.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri, Information Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani and Interior Minister Aftab Khan Sherpao. An Afghan army contingent presented salute to Prime Minister Aziz on arrival.
Soon after his arrival, the Prime Minister went to the Presidential Palace to pay homage to the late king.
Pakistan was the only country that was represented at the funeral ceremony at the level of the head of government, signifying the traditional brotherly relations between the two countries.
